Health Administration Major


The Health Administration (HA) Major provides students with a mix of required core courses and electives in preparation for a variety of positions in the field of health administration. Students have considerable flexibility in designing individualized programs of study to meet specific career needs. The major consists of 128 semester-hour credits.

This HA Major also includes a Fast Track to the MHA graduate program. Certain restrictions apply. Students interested in taking advantage of the Fast Track Option should contact their Academic Advisors.

English Composition  6 credits 

Social Science 6 credits
Science 6 credits
History 6 credits
Philosophy 3 credits
Theology 3 credits
Ethics (PH 210) 3 credits
Mathematics 3 credits
Statistics (MA 205) 3 credits
Humanities 6 credits (to include selections from the arts, literature, foreign languages, philosophy, theology or history)

General Elective Courses


Additional courses (electives) to complete the required 128 (Banking) or 129 (Management) semester-hour credits may be selected from any of the course offerings described in the catalog. Banking specialization students may also select electives from the Center for Financial Training catalog.

Summer Program


Students may choose to earn credits during a residential summer session. Course offerings are announced prior to each session in a special summer catalog.
