Health Administration Major

The Health Administration Major provides students with a mix of required core courses and electives in preparation for a variety of positions in the field of health administration. Students have considerable flexibility in designing individualized programs of study to meet specific career needs. The major consists of 128 semester-hour credits.

This HA Major also includes a Fast Track to the MHA graduate program. Certain restrictions apply. Students interested in taking advantage of the Fast Track Option should contact their Academic Advisors.

General Education Requirements


(45 semester-hour credits)

English Composition 6 credits
Social Science 6 credits
Science 6 credits
History 6 credits
Philosphy 3 credits
Theology 3 credits
Ethics (PH 210) 3 credits
Mathematics 3 credits
Statistics (MA 205) 3 credits
Humanities 6 credits (to include selections from the arts, literature, foreign languages, philosphy, theology, or history)

 

Summer Program


Students may choose to earn credits during a residential ssummer session.  Course offerings are annoucned prior to each residency session in a special summer catalog.

Electives


(18 semester-hour credits)

Students choose six courses (eighteen semester-hour credits) from the following:

  • HA 401 - Special Topics - Symposium
    Offered in the Summer only.
